When I first heard of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) it scared me like you would not believe. Here I was thinking what a great job I had done getting my blog online and a theme installed and a couple of posts to start off my new presence online. Then came all these things called plugins for my WordPress blog. So off I go installing all these little helpers and life became so much easier in the blogging world. Or so I thought.

Then after reading so much about having the right title for an article and of course the right words to suit my readers spattered throughout, things began to fall into place. The penny dropped, "ahhh so that's what Search Engine Optimization is all about". It turns out it is a case of working from the top down. How setting up your article should be a mini story with the same ingredients as every writer uses. Introduce the story, tell the story, then close the story in such a way that it follows a hierarchy of events. Then shall the Great God Google be appeased. Well not quite.

Your story may contain keywords that's true but you still need to write meta tags for your titles and descriptions. Using the All In One SEO Pack plugin for WordPress certainly helps the writer stay focused on their content. With it you can rewrite the title of your article to best suit optimal conditions for when search engine robots find and examine the rest of your articles before deciding whether or not you meet Search Engine Optimization guidelines.

Simple SEO

This is where things get interesting. Another handy little plugin called Simple Tags will allow you to attach your niche tags to any post you decide to write on your blog. Although that sounds handy there is an amount of caution that should be used in writing the content for your niche. It's very easy for a visitor to hit your page and leave it straight away if the content does not match their search criteria or relate to it in some way. But dam it's a handy tool to have for your blog if you have concerns for Search Engine Optimization.

Having said all this there is a learning curve when using both All In One SEO PAck and Simple Tags. When I learn more about them I will update my thoughts. Meanwhile if others can add some handy comments that would be much appreciated by the community I am sure. Especially myself because I love to learn as much as I can about Search Engine Optimization if I am to assist others seeking to establish a presence online.
