No one can resist pizza. Just one smell and one look at those toppings of meat and vegetables, on a bed of rich sauce and melted cheese is enough for everyone to forget about their diet. But with the demand of pizza growing higher and the waistline of people getting wider, ideas of a healthier pizza is becoming more and more popular and different recipes of the so-called low calorie and low fat pizza are circulating all over. But is it really possible?

Yes, a low fat and a healthier pizza is possible, but still full of flavor that you love in your slice. The secret is just with substituting some of the ingredients with a healthier one, like using whole wheat flour instead of the white one, using olive oil instead of butter when making your dough. The dough is a very important part when you're making a pizza, and altering the ingredients can have a drastic effect on the calorie content of your pizza, so make sure that you pick healthy ingredients.

Also, choosing vegetables instead of meat also adds to a healthier pizza. There are quite delectable veggies that are perfect for pizza toppings, including tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, spinach, onions, and so much more. With this part you can be as generous as possible with how much toppings you put. If you really want meat if your pizza, opt for white meat minus the fat portions instead of red meat for a healthier slice.

But one thing you have to remember to make sure that your pizza is low calorie is to use less cheese as much as you can help it. Less cheese and more of the healthier toppings will be as much as, if not more delectable.
