What is doubt? Doubt is a lack of belief in yourself, your product and your ability to succeed. It manifests itself in your mind with niggling questions of negativity. They're not very loud but they are constantly there. Their aim is to stop you succeeding all the while getting stronger and stronger to ultimately make you give up.
The difficulty is really quite simple if you know what you're looking for. If you allow these niggling questions space inside your mind they will continue to grow and smother you (Imagine a garden that isn't weeded). Therefore you have to stop them in their tracks and how do you do that? Quite simply by facing up to them and challenging them as you would a bully in the play ground, after all that's all they are but in your mind instead of the play ground. They are asking questions so give them a statement that they can't argue with e.g. is this really going to work? Yes this is really going to work! Can I really do this? I am going to do this! Can you see the weakness in the question and the strength in the statement? Practice it yourself and make your statements with conviction. Give yourself permission to give up and see how it feels; are you really happy with the result? If it continues to bother you in the back of your mind have you made the right decision or are you going to come back fighting? The only way to fail is to give up.
