Is Circuit Training Good For Women?

Most women desire to be in perfect shape and have the ideal figure. However, the busy schedules and hectic routines seldom allow most of them to actually carry out an exercise routine, and continue it as planned. The majority usually only plan, while those plans hardly see the light of the day.

At times, the motivation required to start an exercise program may be quite difficult to achieve. However, in case you have come across an exercise which you enjoy doing, the chances of regularly following the program increase to a great extent. As you will look forward each day to engage in it and reach the goal of remaining fit always.

Circuit training is a program that can be highly effective for your personal fitness. It refers to a method of exercise in which one has to complete one set of a particular exercise until they move onto the next. There is no break taken between the two sets of different exercises and no rest done. The reason why it has become exceptionally popular among women is that it helps in reducing body fat, making the muscles lean, and improves cardiovascular health. A training program for women usually consists of the following basic steps:

To begin with, a few basic exercises should be done which would make your heart get pumping. These include jumping jacks or step-ups. You just need to warm up your body so that it is prepared for more exercise.

The next step is to work on your biceps using light dumbbells, so that you are comfortable with the weight and do not end up with a muscle pull. Also while holding the dumbbells; you can begin with lunges of your legs. After that, you can use a jumping rope to jump for around one minute in a row.

The best workout for your arms and chest are pushups. If you are a beginner, you might as well begin with doing them on your knees, while for those who have enough practice, they can do it on their toes.

Lastly, you may end the session with crunches and squats that range from around 10-20 in number.
