The economy can help you make changes if need be, but your focus should be on solid investments that you have hand chosen from the many out there. So many investments are available that you have to be picky about what you buy. Once you buy something, you should make sure you are not going to have buyers remorse. If you do, then that is a sign you have made the wrong investment. Take your time and choose wisely. Just remember that the economy will always go up and down, but solid companies should stand the test of time.
