The term internet marketing strategy means the ways or the techniques that the internet marketer follow to start his promoting campaign. When beginning for the internet marketing job, this ways must be determined first. The marketing strategy will help for advertising about the company or the products that the marketer is promoting across the internet.

The marketing strategy can contain many different techniques some of which are paid and the others are none paid. The non-paid techniques are as follow:

1. Search Engine Marketing: this is the important technique that any one must include in his marketing strategy. Search engine marketing means to include the site which contains the products or defines the company in the search engines especially in Google, Yahoo and MSN. Doing so is a great deal. Besides the site included, it must have high ranking to begin sending traffic. Recall that traffic to the internet marketer site is the key success.

Improving the site ranking requires some techniques and it is a one branch called search engine optimization. Some rules must be followed when designing the site to match the criteria of the sites loved by the search engines.

2. Article Marketing: this is the second important and effective internet marketing way that must be included in the strategy. Article marketing involves writing articles and submitting it to article directories such that when the visitor read it, it can enter the site using the link the internet marketer put at the end of the site.

Article marketing has direct and indirect advantage. The direct one is that the visitor will visit the site when he clicks the URL at the end of the site and thus will bring traffic. The indirect advantages is that the link at the end of the article will improve the search engine ranking when the search engine sees it and also will make the search engines enter the site and load pages which make more opportunity for the search engines to index more of the pages. Besides the search engines, the webmaster owners are continuously taking content from article directories to publish it on their site. They usually put the link at the end of the article on their sites which will make more visibility for the site.

3. Forum and Social Bootmarking: many forums and social bootmarking exist on the web. They allow people to interact with each others. They allow people also to insert links with the test they write. This is a big opportunity for internet marketers to put their links to the site they are promoting.

There are also paid techniques that can be included as part of the marketing strategy. From which is online advertising. Online advertising is to find a site that receives very high traffic and put link on it in return to paying to this site. The most popular is google AdWords program that show the advertisement on the Google site and on his network of publishers.
