Picking the right Internet Marketing Strategies to drive traffic to your web site can be the making or breaking of your online business. There are many to choose from but which are the ones that give you the most bang for your buck? Well, there are both paid and un-paid methods of driving traffic, whichever you choose you need to ensure you are achieving at least 10 leads/newsletter sign ups per day, that preferably also builds you a credible reputation and that gives you repeat traffic over time.
Forum marketing can be a real force to be reckoned with in achieving all the above. Most people who have a problem and who come to the Internet, will type a question in the search engines first, and what usually comes up top of the list is a related forum site. Furthermore, you can pick forums and queries that you're already knowledgeable in and also have an interest in, regardless of you product or service.
In the large, forum marketing, as one of your marketing strategies, is as free as they come. And the great thing about it is that you don't necessarily have to target forums that are directly related to your home business opportunity or product. For example, if you we're an ex personal trainer and loved to exercise, who's now working from home with a successful home business, then you can go onto any exercise related forum and answer peoples questions or queries.
By making sure your replies add value, actually answer peoples questions, are helpful, and offer useful information the margin for error is then relatively small. But the point is, if you create a compelling signature file/box that may say something like "find out how I'm able to work out when I want where I want" with a link to your capture page; then people with similar interests and who have seen your answer will click through as they may be intrigued enough to check you out.
Remember though, only answer questions you know the answer to, never spam your link, or be obnoxious as you will soon be banned. You want to create integrity and credibility amongst the forum. After all, your answers and more importantly, your links, can stay there for years; and people with similar queries can run searches and see you previous helpful answer waiting there for them.
Granted marketing with forums can take a little longer to build a steady flow of traffic, but its effectiveness of achieving repeat targeted traffic over long periods of time should not be underestimated. To speed this process up, a proven strategy would be to sign up to four or five forums of interest and spend half an hour a day on each. But don't loaf about, be an "in and out man" get in, source the questions you can answer, answer them and then leave for the next one.
