We are in a very competitive business. We know that opportunity knocks and that there is money to be made by the bucket loads in Internet Marketing. Many of us have heard the call. The sad fact is that many of us get discouraged and quit. It's not that we have failed. It is that we quit. Ninety plus per cent fail at Internet Marketing, regardless of whether it is e-commerce, affiliate marketing, or direct sales.
Why? - One reason is that we see a multitude of secrets, systems, programs, and methods, all of them touting the key to overnight success, the secret to success. We try them all. We don't want to be left out. We want that one thing that will vault us over the precipice of failure and into the arms of success. For only $ 97 we can join and be redeemed. It's the one key or system that will insure our success. How many of us have fallen for that carrot? I have. Soon our bank accounts dwindle and we must face the decision to go on with no money or quit while "we are ahead". Sad but true.
Well, the truth is that there is a secret. And that secret is that there is no secret. Like any other endeavor, be it business, academia, relationships, or whatever, being successful requires only one thing - desire.
You may argue that work, focus, knowledge, and passion are just as necessary to succeed in Internet marketing or anything else. And, you're right. But these all stem from desire. What do you want? Freedom? Money? Quality Time? It is desire that ignites the effort (work), focus, knowledge and passion needed to succeed.
Which brings us to the subject of this article: learn to say NO. It is true that we don't need to reinvent the wheel. But where does it end? How many secrets or methods must you buy to succeed? If you are new to Internet marketing and haven't a clue, as I was, it is a good idea to choose a mentor, a trainer or program that you feel comfortable with; one that resonates with your personality.
Find a program or system that will guide you through, step-by-step, all the nuances of Internet marketing. On the Internet you can find many good quality systems and training programs for the newbie and the experienced marketer. But once you have decided - - stick with it. Learn to say NO! That is not to say that you won't need to buy additional tools to advance your knowledge. Just stay focused.
Jumping from one program to another only depletes your bank account. If you have done your research and are confident that your chosen program is genuine, give it a chance. Although, your mentor/trainer may be pulling in $1,000,000 a year, remember he's been at it awhile. If he says that he just started two months ago and is making $80,000+ a month, well .... Take another look.
