Inline Water Filters Can Rid Your Home's Water Of Contaminants That Can Lead To Health Problems

Inline water filters are the most convenient type of filtration available once they are installed, though it is wise for consumers to choose one that is based on the latest in water technology and scientific understanding. For instance, many companies still rely on distillation and reverse osmosis which remove minerals and metals. Recent studies, however, show that these substances are actually naturally occurring and healthy to humans.

On the other hand, these older filters do nothing to remove the carcinogenic and nerve-damaging chemicals that humans have introduced into the water supply. For these in line water filters, it is necessary to turn to the updated activated carbon filter. Carbon filters are designed to chemically bond with these unwanted substances. Where do these chemicals come from? They originate from agricultural runoff, household cleansers that are just poured down the drain, and industrial waste.

Treatment plants also pollute the water in their very efforts to improve it by using large quantities of chlorine to remove bacteria that cause typhoid, dysentery, and other horrible diseases. We can't really criticize them for this as no one wants to suffer the fate of many in third world countries where such outbreaks still occur. Likewise, we all want to eat the food from our agriculture and enjoy the products from our industries. The problem, then, is in cleaning up afterward.

Inline water filters are one of the best ways for consumers to protect their own health as well as that of their families. These systems can filter refrigerator water for superior quality ice and drinking water, counter top faucets, and even bathroom water.

The convenience and quality of these in line water filters is well worth the little bit of time and effort it takes to install them and the even smaller amounts of effort it takes to maintain them. Even if your fridge wasn't originally wired with a filter, you can install one very simply and inexpensively. Overall, most inline water filters only raise water costs by ten cents or less, and they require new filters only once every six months or more.

Again, the key is to make sure that the inline water filter you choose is based upon activated carbon filtration with perhaps some sedimentary filtration incorporated into it as well. Some companies will try to convince you that some other method is the best, but the EPA has spoken out against the high chlorination of household water as well as its chemical content, and these are only removed by the high-tech carbon filtration systems.

It is even recommended that filtration extend from drinking water to shower water, because 60-70 percent of all chlorine that enters a person's bloodstream gets there through skin absorption. Since our skin is our largest organ and we bathe daily, it makes sense that this would be an issue. Breathing the chloroform fumes is another way it enters our systems.

Shower water filters are easier than ever to install and maintain, just as in line water filters are. It makes the decision simple, because the carbon filtration systems are not only the best but are the most economical, the simplest, and most convenient.
