I live in England but I must admit when it comes to the general history, facts and figures I'm more knowledgeable about other countries. I've written the following article to both inform people who wish to visit England on holiday and for people like myself who live in England but don't know the following information. Other high maintains and hills are to the west of the Welsh border and this area is called the Cambrian Mountains. Cotswolds which is in Gloucestershire situated in England is also home to some very large mountains.
The Thames River, The Humber, Tess and Tyne are all rivers through the country which flow to the North Sea. The Mersey, Ribble, The Severn and Wye rivers also lead to the Bristol Channel.
The current sovereign has been so since 1952 and this is Queen Elizebeth II. The recently elected Prime Minister is David Cameron. The land area of the Britain is 93,278 square miles and the populations in 2010 are currently 61,284,806 at a growth rate of 0.2%. The current life expectancy is around 79.
The current capital is London situated in the North East and is 7,615,000 metro area.

The current monetary unit is Pound Sterling but it is thought that eventually it will be the Euro to fit in with the rest of Europe.
