In this article I will guide you through the list of possible Info product types.
I have been involved in this game for a few years now, and I have seen (and bought) many Info products, in many formats. There are many types of product to choose from, including:
e-books
Audio Interview (with an expert in your chosen topic)
Written transcript of Interview (see above)
Video Tutorial (how To)
Slide Show step by step course (power point etc.)
Video Interview (pod cast)
Which of these you choose depends on two things,
1) Which format you are most comfortable with, if you hate cameras it's probably best to avoid video, at least until you become more comfortable.
2) Which one suits your chosen topic best, for example, if you set out to SHOW people how to rewire a plug (the clue is in the title people!) then a Video is likely to be better suited to this than trying to explain it on an audio recording!
E-books
My personal favourite, I have had great success with e-books. My very first e-book was about 'self Coaching' as a practising Life Coach, this was arguably the easiest book I have ever written.
The beauty about e-books is that, there is no shortage of information "content" no matter what topic you choose. Search the Internet, Article depositories, and you will be rewarded with all the content you could ever need.
Audio
When you have chosen your topic, find an 'expert' (if you are not one already that is) and ask if you could interview them.
Video
There are numerous video recording software programs available, choose which you would be happiest to use, and get recording. There was a story a year or so ago, about a young (14 year old) boy, who recorded himself making a 'Proper ' cup of tea. Within 24 hours of this being uploaded onto You Tube, it had received 250,000 hits.
As you can see, the possibilities are limitless. Why not have a series of Audios, or a string of Videos, or even a subscription e-book series?
Go ahead, get creative.
Choosing what type of product to create is just the start. How would you like to have your very own 'Info Product Creation Guru' on hand, 24/7 to guide you EVERY step of the way?
