Indoor-Outdoor Area Rugs

When we started to decorate our home years ago we were always told if we could to purchase quality items because they would last. We may have to spend a little more up front but in the end it would be worth it. In fact, my parents would say to wait the extra three months to get it since we did not have it to begin with it was something we were not missing. There would always be another thing that we would want to purchase. This is advice that I have held in my head for years and I have worked with it too.

When it comes to making purchases I do not give in when I know it will still be there in three months. One of the items that we wanted to get was Sphinx Area Rugs, it was not the price that was stopping us it was the color and design we were trying to decide on and where we were going to put them. Once we had picked them up and had used them for several years it was time for us to move. We had purchased a new home that had a back screened in porch that was turned into a permanent room.

It had the windows and was heated during the winter and had air conditioning in the summer. This turned out to my favorite room. I loved it on Saturday and Sunday morning when I could open my door and sit in the room staring out the windows watching the birds and seasons as they came and went. Under my patio furniture, my nice patio furniture in which I waited for the additional three months to buy and got it at half price. It was an end of summer sale and went beautifully with the Sphinx area rug we had in our last home.

Yes, we still had the Sphinx rug and it was perfect for this room. It was the first time I actually bought furniture to go with an area rug. Five years later and I still enjoy my weekends out in this room with my Sphinx area rug and patio furniture. What a great choice this rug was and what good advice my parents gave us.
