Benefits
Firstly you need to understand what are the benefits you want from this plan that you want to buy. For example, a dental care insurance, the benefits that you want might be the coverage for dental care treatment for regular check up, x-ray on teeth, tooth polishing, whitening or fillings. There are different benefits offered for broken tooth due to accidental reasons and definitely this is depended on your choice if these benefits suit your own needs.
Sum payout (Premium)
Sum payout or premium (which is a term use in insurance contract) is a certain amount of money which you need to pay either monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly to the insurance company in order to get the coverage from them. When you buy the policy, you have the option to choose how much premium you want to pay. The more you pay, the more coverage or benefits you received. Dentist option
There are some company only cover for dental treatment for certain dental clinic only. The insurance company might have their own list of dentist option and only these listed dentist are covered for the benefits offered. Special clause or exclusion
Last but not least, the most important thing to check while buying a dental insurance plan. Do check on the clause and exclusion on your policy booklets. Some company might not cover for tooth polishing for example but the other company might consider it, or the other scenario might be the insurance company cover for tooth filling but with certain terms and conditions like the broken tooth must be due to the accidental reasons.
