Increasing Your Profit With eBay

eBay is the biggest market place on the internet and quite possibly the world. If you know how to profit with eBay then you can turn it into a huge business. There are quite a few different things that you can do to increase your profit with eBay.

Photographs

A photo is worth a thousand words, but they are only any use to buyers if they are good quality. Buyers want to be able to see the item that they are considering purchasing. Make sure that you take photos of the item you have rather than just using stock photographs.

Real photographs of the item you are trying to sell will be very attractive to the buyer. It will help the buyer to see the condition of the product that they are considering purchasing. If you don't have a camera already then make sure that you go out and get one. You can get quite a cheap camera these days and use it to upload to eBay. If you want to upload more than one photo then you don't have to upload them all to eBay because you will have to pay. Another option is to upload them to a photo sharing site and link to them. Photographs should help to improve your profit with eBay.

Honesty is the best policy

When you are trying to sell something it can be very tempting to gloss over any imperfections in the product. However you really must be honest. In your description you should go into detail and mention any minor problems. This will make sure that the buyer is getting exactly what he paid for and so will minimise the chances of anyone wanting a refund. If you need more information about your product then visit the site of the manufacturer so that you can get more details.

Be polite

You need to treat your customers like your friends. If you are friendly and polite when dealing with your customers then this will create a trustworthy bond between the two of you. If you respond to any questions as quickly as possible then the people will be much more likely to purchase from your eBay auction. If they like you then they are more likely to give you some business. This will also reduce the chances of you getting negative feedback.

Ship products

When you ship products you should always make sure that you get a proof of postage from the post office. This proves to the buyer that you have really posted the item. If you are selling anything that is a higher value then you should consider sending it by recorded delivery. When sending anything heavy you might be able to get a better deal using a courier rather than the Royal Mail.

Ending Times Of Auctions

If you can then you should time it so that your auctions end at times when people are more likely to be searching to buy online. This will make sure that people are available to bid on your auctions if they are interested. Ending auctions at midnight or the early hours of the morning can be less profitable. By ending an auction at a sensible time you will be able to increase your profit with eBay.
