The urology journal, "BJU International" recently published a study on penis traction devices and whether they can increase penis size. You know the one's i mean. They are advertised all over the internet and plastered throughout newspapers and magazines. A device that you attach to your penis, that will stretch and hopefully extend it over time!

The study was carried out in the San Giovanni Battista Hospital, which forms part of Turin University in Italy. Penis traction devices or extenders had previously been used to treat Peyronie's disease or a curvature of your manhood! They were usually found to be successful at improving the appearance of curvatures.

The actual practical part of the study involved taking 15 men who were taught how to wear and use the penis extender correctly. The men had to wear the devices on their manhood's for up to 4 hours a day and measurements would be taken after a month. A series of additional measurements were taken after 3 months and 6 months.

The results after 6 months were that the 15 men averaged an increase in penis size of between 0.65-0.9 inches. When i say an increase in penis size, i merely mean length. Unfortunately, the results are a little disappointing and these extenders did nothing for any of the men's girth.

Unfortunately, this is where i lost interest in reading more about this study. I have always been led to believe that, yes most women would like their man to have a bigger penis, however they would much prefer extra girth or thickness. I would hazard a guess that one of the main reasons you wish to increase your penis size is to fully satisfy the fairer sex!

However, this leaves us with a problem if we need to get extra girth as well as length!

This is where further studies and scientific evidence guide us to a more natural way to enlarge your penis. Penis enlargement exercises seem to be the only way to safely and naturally enlarge both your penis length and girth.

I would also suggest that carrying out penis exercises is probably far less embarrassing and far more comfortable than having to wear an extender for 4 hours a day. As you can see from the results, 6 months with an extender didn't even produce an inch increase on average. However, many penis exercise programs advise that if you carry out certain techniques on a regular basis you can expect an increase in both length and girth of between 1-3 inches within a much shorter period of time!
