Whether you are a seasoned coach or one that is newly qualified you can benefit from taking a perspective on where you are with regard to several areas of planning, marketing and running your coaching business. This is not designed to be a test, merely to help you discover where you are. Take some time to answer the following questions to help you design a development plan to take you and your coaching to the next level.

  • What are the 3 biggest challenges you face when trying to market and sell your coaching services? How can you overcome them?

  • Taking an objective perspective, what kind of first impression do you make when you first meet prospective clients? Is this the impression you want them to have? How sharp is your elevator pitch?

  • What would you say if a potential client said to you " Great! I am interested in hiring a coach but have met quite a few lately - why should I hire you and not one of the others?"

  • Describe your target market - who is your ideal client?

  • How are you positioning yourself in terms of quality, price, service for your target market?

  • How up to date is your current business plan? What are your specific goals in the next 3 months?

  • What are your short and long term financial goals? What are your primary income streams? How will you attract your clients?

  • Name several strategies you can easily implement to rapidly find your next 10 paying clients

  • What do you say when people ask - What do you do? To keep their attention and get them interested you must be able to do this in a few short and compelling sentences

  • What are some of the specific techniques you can use to significantly increase the number and quality of referrals you receive from other people?

  • What are your online and offline strategies for landing new clients?
