As a woman, you will agree with me that we are usually more interested in finding men with whom we can establish stable and long lasting relationships. It is not common to find a lady who wants a boyfriend for just a casual date.

Of course, this does not mean settling for any guy who comes along. You need to find a man who shares your interests, with whom you can have an enjoyable time together.

The problem that many of us face is not finding a guy with whom we are compatible, but making that guy to be interested in making serious commitment. When you see no end to your dating process, you are likely to be frustrated and an otherwise good relationship may actually break up. However, there are some things that you can do to remedy the situation before things get out of hand.

Although it is generally good to be forthright about issues, this is one area where this method creates more complications than it solves. If you seem to be pressurizing your boyfriend to make a more serious commitment when he is not yet ready, you will simply make him resist your efforts and you will lose the ensuing struggle. This is a very good way of making your boyfriend walk out of the relationship.

Instead of doing this, you should let your boyfriend enjoy his cherished freedom by making your own plans that do not include him. When you show your independence and let him have his own space, he will become more interested in strengthening the relationship.

Instead of including him in every plan that you make, you may decide to go out with either your girlfriends or workmates. When he senses that you give him his own freedom, the guy will be more inclined to want to spend more time with you. When you give the impression that you are not really that concerned about his future plans, and that you have your own future to think of, he will take deliberate measures to strengthen the relationship.

Since the man already knows how it feels to be with you, you should take measures that will make him miss you instead. If he knows that you are always available to him, your boyfriend will not have any urge to move beyond the dating stage. However, if he realizes that you may as well slip away from him, he will be more committed to your relationship.

You should realize that there are things that you can do right now to encourage your boyfriend to crave for a more serious commitment. Arouse him from his comfort zone by subtly showing him that if things remain at their present condition then your life may as well go on without him.

If he does not take any steps to have a firm hold on you by making a lasting commitment, then you should ask yourself whether he truly loves you. Then you should consider whether it is really worth pursuing that relationship.
