Beekeeping is not for everyone. This world of bees is fascinating but maintaining bees is another matter. The bees are one of the most of the busy creatures in God's world.

You can start this as a hobby and later on enjoy even a bit of money making if you are so inclined. The location does matter. It is not advisable to start on in a busy apartment complex or condo unit.

Beekeeping requires a place a bit away from heavily populated areas. A farm is the best suited. But a house with a large backward could do it too. You need to find out fro local authorities the regulation for an apiary.

They also produce the something called beeswax which has very profitable commercial value and uses. A most of the cosmetic industry use this as their base for shampoo to all kinds of lotions. Candle making depends on beeswax as their major raw material.

Bees historically have three major kinds. They in the natural setting are open nesting kind, single comb kind, and cavity nesting species.

Our beekeeping today is most commonly by the cavity nesting bees.

The bee's body has very intriguing features fit for their trade. A very fine layer hair covers their body. This has the ability and sticking character used for attracting pollen form the flowers.

The bees also have a segmented body at strategic joints to enable it to bend and move in and out of the flower.

It has long tentacles to reach into the bottom of flowers to extract nectar.

When they collect them the put them in sacs found at the back of their legs. This is how they fly long distances and reach their colonies without losing their treasures. Marvelous indeed are these creatures.

This wonderful hobby of beekeeping is certainly worth investigating if you want to start new. There are many resources available to get you started.

Remember you can enjoy fresh home made honey as well as make some good money. You just have to be careful not to antagonize your neighbors. This can be a dangerous hobby as the bees can sting if you do not take proper and necessary steps to protect yourself.
