Which one of these e-mails are more likely to get your friend, Alan, to join your network marketing business?
Have a think...marks out of 10.
1.) Alan, hi, how are you? I want to invite you to join my business and you will have the money you have always dreamed of, no more will you have to scrimp and save for everything. You will be able to have that holiday you have always wanted, you'll be able to buy that car of your dreams...............

2.) Alan, hi, how are you? I'd love to know what you are up to at the moment! Please do get back to me and tell me what you're doing right now. I'm onto something I'm finding quite exciting, as you know, I really value your opinion and would be interested to hear what you think of this business opportunity.

3.) Alan, hi, how are you? I'd love to know what you are up to at the moment! Please do get back to me and tell me what you're doing right now.
Here are my marks.
Number 1 - I give this a big ZERO!
People hate being sold to. If I was Alan and thought of you as a friend then I would be devastated to receive this e-mail. If I was not a friend and just an acquaintance, or worse still an unknown contact then I would no more join your team than put my head in a vice!
Where is the relationship? Where is the trust?
Number 2 - I give this a tentative ONE!
OK, so you have asked me how I am, but are you really interested? I would know that this e-mail is a wolf in sheep's clothing. I know that you just want me to click through to your business opportunity - I'm not stupid!
Number 3 - I give this a fantastic TEN!
What will Alan do? Hopefully he will reply, updating you on everything that has been happening in his World. How do you think he will end his message?
He'd say "So what are you up to?"
Say no more!
