In the United States we have all heard the warnings that our students lack in reading and math skills. But, they rank amongst the top in the world for entrepreneurial spirit, human will, and they believe that they can do anything. What's more important I ask; after all wasn't it Calvin Coolidge who warned us that there are an abundance of over educated derelicts?

And before any teachers give me a hard time, I must tell you that I am very pro-education. However, I also realize that the United States educational system is doing quite well, and yes, we can do better, you can always do better that is the American way. Nevertheless, I do not like to see our nation being belittled by other nations who put forth statistics that say that our nation's education system is crap.

Not long ago, an acquaintance of mine, and I use that term quite loosely, because I find him to be quite the anti-American propaganda purport'er stated to me; "The USA has fallen to place 15 in the world ranking. Germany ranks place 23 in matters education. "

All the rankings and garbage statistics in the world come from jaded anti-US groups trying to make political statements, they mean nothing, they are just numbers and stats; human will, perseverance, and strength of character is what's key. We have more of that than any other place on the planet. Let me tell you right now there is nothing that the American people cannot achieve.

If we put forth a serious effort we could cure cancer in any 10 year period. If we put forth a serious effort we could put a colony on Mars within two years. If we would commit the time and energy we could literally secure our borders overnight. The United States may have room for improvement in our educational system. But let me tell you something right now;

The United States is the greatest nation ever created in the history of mankind, our people can do anything, we know no limits, we are the most creative people on the planet, and we have some of the greatest genetic stock because it comes from all over the world, from every nation and every culture, from every nationality and race.

That's why the United States is great, and I'd like you show me a better nation, show me a better place.

I hope you will please consider this, I am not pleased with anti-American talk in the global media, save it for your mirror, cry to yourself, and I will buy you a tissue.
