Yes - here is another good weight loss program, just for you!
I am not saying it's THE DEFINITIVE great weight loss program around - only that it worked for me and it might work for you too. I lost 14lbs in 8 weeks - an amount which might not make the news headlines, but was achieved by eating plenty of food and never feeling hungry.
The secret is to keep eating healthy food! Sounds tempting? Read how.
Start the day with healthy breakfast. After your nights sleep your body's metabolism needs a kick start to get it going and converting calories into energy and breakfast is the way to do it. But if you wake up with a thirst - don't fall into the trap of reaching for that glass of orange juice which some - good weight loss programs recommend. Whilst many consider this a healthy start, however, fruit is juiced it is stripped of its pulp and fibre and your body has no need to process it so it goes straight into the bloodstream as a sugar rush. Drink a glass of water instead (and drink plenty more as you go through the day) and get your fruit straight from the fruit bowl or cut up onto a plate. A sprinkling of bran or bran flake son the top will give extra fibre to help regulate the bowel.
The secret of any ideal weight loss program is don't allow yourself to get hungry. Eating 3 small, meals each day interspersed with two healthy snacks, mid morning and mid afternoon, you are making sure that your blood sugar levels are remaining steady and this in itself will avoid the peaks and troughs (known also as spikes) which can lead to cravings which as we all know can result into overeating, eating the wrong type of foods such as sweet and sugary foods and binge eating sessions.
As with all ideal weight loss programs, you should keep the fats low and the carbs at a good level. We all know about Low fats - these are the lean cuts of meat - take care to remove with all visible fat before cooking. But what about those carbs? There has been a lot of publicity in the press about the celebrity low carb. No carb diets, but the fact is that our bodies do need carbohydrates to enable them to function. The main point here is that the carbohydrates should be good and not bad carbohydrates (just as we have good and bad fats).
Good carbohydrates you can include in your ideal weight loss program are brown rice, wholewheat spaghetti and pasta and wholewheat couscous. The distinction between the good and bad carbs is that carbs in the bad carb group (white bread, white pizza crust, cake made from white flour etc.) have had all, or much of, the fibre removed in the refining process and you are left with a flour that is devoid of many of the nutrients in wholemeal, unprocessed flour.
