Howard Restor A Finish

I am selling my house and I cannot tell you enough about how important it is to properly stage your house. My wife and I even rented a storage unit to get all the clutter and unneeded furniture out of the house.  After that it was all about cleaning the house, re-arranging furniture and to fix all the little issues that have been popping up over the years. We bought this house in 1999 and even though we maintained it very well, in certain areas you see the age.

Today our realtor pointed out a few more items - including the stairway area which is out of wood. It is easy to spot all the little scratches that the wood had to accept over the years of not always paying enough attention on our side when carrying stuff. Our realtor also pointed out a solution: Howard Restore A Finish

I went over to Home Depot and picked up a bottle of Restore A Finish and then got started. I picked a less visible spot first, but then quickly moved up to work on the entire wood section of our stairs. This stuff works great.  The scratches are gone and the railing and the stairway look great. One hour of work probably removed 5-10 years of visible age from the wood.

There is a reason why it pays to have a good real estate agent - even though they charge a lot for their service. If you want to sell your house in this market you need any advantage you can get. A good real estate agent will go through your house and point out issues so that you can address them. You should then get to work and fix those issues. Potential buyers will be impressed by a well maintained house. A house is an investment and possibly the biggest one-time shopping expense people will do in their entire life. How often does it happen that you spend $250,000 or more on a single item?! And now imagine how a single bottle of wood finisher like Howard Restor A Finish can make or break a deal. Imagine  wood in your house that has aged. The wood might have seen 20 years or more of "wear and tear" and now imagine how you can shave 10 years of usage off the same wood. Potential buyers do not expect a new house, but they will be very surprised if your house makes the impression of less age. A small detailing job might bring in the offer you are waiting for and Howard Restor a Finish wood finisher is one of those little investments that can make that happen.
