This is one area where, up until very recently, I had great difficulty and anxiety. If you can write a great autoresponder series, then that's your sales all wrapped up....Simple as that!
An autoresponder will automate all your sales messages so that you don't have to worry about keeping up with your prospects. The autoresponder will do the work for you. All you need to do is write a great series of emails to go through it and add the link to your blog, your splash page or your retail website. To see my autoresponder and sign up to find out how your series should look, just click on my blog link at the bottom of this article and the opt-in box will appear as a pop-up.
Now, for the best part...the part that lets you know how an effective autoresponder series should be.
If you write every day, that is too much. The person receiving the email will get irritated and will lose interest. If you email them once each week, they will start to wonder who you are. So, the best way is to send them every 3 days. You should have one sent as soon as the person signs up, then one on the following day and then on the 4th day, the 7th day, the 10th day and every three days thereon.
The first email should be an introductory one, introducing you and your business. Remember that you are branding yourself as well as your opportunity or product. If you can build up a good personal reputation and people get to know you and that they can buy the product from you, then they are going to want to do business with you.
From there on, you should take a look at your opportunity, service or product and list all the reasons that people want to buy that product, and why in particular they want to buy from you. It is much better to only write about one aspect per email so that people can remember that point and build up a great image of that opportunity, product or service over a period of time.
