This is my favorite. Most copywriters spend days, weeks or even months together to come up with a million dollar headline. A headline which no matter, irrespective of the situation will grab the attention of your prospects even in the biggest of ad crowds.
Follow these simple rules while writing arresting headlines
#1. It should talk about a precise benefit for your prospect
For e.g. You are selling a weight loss program and your headline looks like this:
"Clinically approved weight loss program"
This heading looks good and simple but may be doesn't amplify the benefit your prospect is going to experience. Lets change it a bit
"Now loose those extra pounds around your waist and become healthier"
This headline is clearly showing a benefit of becoming healthier and also talks about looking trim. This is definitely more appealing than the first one.
#2 Be precise
Look at this headline for the same program
"Now loose those extra pounds around your waist with our weight reduction program"
Let's make it more precise
"Loose 30 pounds in just 3 weeks flat with our weight reduction program"
This sounds precise, credible and confident. Hope you get what I mean.
#3. Develop curiosity
Look at this one
"Loose 30 pounds in just 3 weeks flat with our FAT loss program"
Let's make it more curious for our prospects
"5 unique weight loss techniques which makes you thinner by 30 pounds in 3 weeks flat"
Now this will arouse a curiosity among your prospects as to what those 5 techniques are.
Try them right now with your headlines and see the difference in your sales calls.
