Improved Taskbar: This feature and full-screen previews have made going back and forth of pages, extremely easier. Now, its very easier to work on different windows at the same time. Windows 7 allows user to pin any of their favorite program to the taskbar. When user hovers over the icon in the taskbar, they will be able to see thumbnails of windows open under that application and when the user hovers over that thumbnail, they will be able to see full-screen preview of that window. The users also have the choice to click and drag any icon on to the taskbar.

The Windows 7 taskbar has always been where you found your open programs. You could easily move from one to the other just by left clicking icons on the taskbar. If you find that you never use a program that is on your taskbar, you can simply unpin it by left clicking the icon and moving your cursor to unpin. If you want to use it in the future, its still there, you just have to go through multiple steps to open it. You can tell what taskbar programs are open because a transparent window opens around the icon. Multiple windows of the same program like Word will show up as multiple transparent windows. When you roll over the icon with your cursor, a thumbnail of each window will open. You can then choose which Word document to work on.

Let's assume you have multiple Word documents open and you want to close one or more. When the preview thumbnails appear, move your curser to each one you want to close. As you move over the thumbnail, a little x will appear in the top right hand corner. Just click on the x and the document will close leaving the other documents open. It is much simpler and easier than having to go to each open window to close it.

With Windows 7 taskbar you can easily rearrange icons. All you need to do is just left click on the icon and drag it where you want it to be and let go. You can quickly change the programs or the order of your taskbar whenever you want without any hassle.

Jump List: The tool allows you to go right away to the documents, songs, photos, or websites you turn to every day. In order to open a Jump List, you just need to right click a program icon on the taskbar. For instance, you right click on Internet Explorer and you will get a list of recently opened websites. If you right click on Windows Media Player, you will get a list of the songs that you frequently listen to. This is an efficient way to save time and effort. Moreover, you can pin in the files you want there.

Jump Lists not only offers you with a shortcut to files, they sometimes also provide quick access to useful commands. For instance, you can compose an email directly from there; similarly music keys help you to control volume, change track, etc.
