Web cams are tiny digital cameras that are attached or built into your computer. They are used for sharing images and video on the Web or as most say on the internet. They are so fun and addictive to use. A web cam connects to your computer and lets you make a video or or stream images in real time. All cams work the same way even though some can perform more functions. I use a usb port for mine but some come built in to your computer already. Two particular kinds are streaming web cams and snapshot cams. Streaming ones upload moving images, like a video. They require a fast internet connection to transmit smooth video.
Their image quality tends to not be that good and the motion is usually bad also. Snapshot cams take a snapshot of the scene every few seconds or however long you set it for. It refreshes that image constantly. They don't capture motions but captures still pictures. Now The first thing you need to do is install the software that came with the cam so your computer will recognize your cam. Most I have seen come with their own instructions to follow. After that's done Choose a delivery system. Use a service such as Yahoo, AOL or SKYPE. This is the simplest system for someone just starting out. Use a service, This is by far the simplest system for the beginner. If you already have an Instant Messenger program such as Yahoo, MSN or AOL, then all you need to do is setup your web cam and activate it inside your Messenger. Check either your Messenger program's help menu or their web site for instructions. Turn it on and view the live footage from your computer screen.
* Move the webcam around slowly, and check the footage on the monitor to get the desired angle.
* Once you get the right position, keep the webcam stable.
