Most pet owners that use flea control to their pets know Frontline or Advantage, these products are the most popular among pet owners that have some problems with their pet's flea issues. The thing about Frontline and Advantage though is, it usually takes up to twelve hours to have its effect on your pet's fleas. Capstar flea control on the other hand works within thirty minutes and can kill fleas within four to six hours, results are obviously better than the conventional and popular pest control products.

The thing about Capstar flea control though is that it only kills the adult fleas. Thus, you have to continue using it to your pets for weeks, or use it in conjunction with other effective pest control products such as Program or Frontline plus. With the combination of Capstar and other pest control products, no flea can survive can harm your pet anymore.

Capstar is very effective with small and orphaned animals. Stray kittens that can hardly open their eyes because of the infection fleas had caused to them are cured by just small amount of Capstar, and it only took them a short time to recover and heal from the infections.

Capstar is a tablet given to cats, kittens, dogs, puppies orally. This is safe even for four weeks old and dogs or cats, but should have two pounds of body weight or greater. Capstar flea control is also good for nursing or even pregnant animals.

Nitenpyran, Capstar's main ingredient is a substance that blocks the nervous system of the fleas. This is safe and available even without veterinarian's prescription. It is available in two sizes, for pets 25 pounds or less, and for pets 25 pounds to 125 pounds. If your dog weighs more than 125 pounds, you can give it two tablets, it is still safe for your dog.

Capstar only kills adult fleas, thus you have to combine your medication with other flea control to make sure eggs and larvae wont feed from your beloved pets.
