There is nothing more painful than a break up. We can't sleep, we can't eat, and everything around us reminds us of our lover. Sometimes, we can't even hear love songs on the radio, and our favorite movie was ruined because we loved watching it with that other person. And the worst symptom ever is not wanting to leave our phone in fear that they may call any minute.
Well, we can make the pain stop right this minute, and work on getting our lovers back into our lives, even if we are the only ones working on it. There are some quick, simple, steps to get our boyfriend/girlfriend back. Or maybe we just want our lover to stop rejecting us. I have felt the pain of that loss, and I don't want anyone to feel that way. It can be devastating to our lives. The normal functionality of every day life just feels blah!
I remember my very first break up, and I vowed to never let it happen to me again. I must have lost 15 pounds. (That was 15 pounds I didn't have to lose). Food didn't sound good to me, and I couldn't sleep. I ended up in poor health because I couldn't seem to get over this guy! I wanted him back so badly, and I was too young to figure out what to do. I ended up moving to a completely different state just to get the pain to go away. But, running didn't help, because the pain went with me. Decision was the only thing that eventually stopped the pain.
A few years after that devastating break up, this girlfriend of mine caught her fiance cheating. Now, this wasn't just a confession type of 'caught'. This was a 'walked right in on him and saw it with her own eyes' type of 'caught'! She was so hurt, and of course, my first reaction was, 'Who Needs Him!!". "Dump the jerk!". So, she did. Well, he had every belief that they should be together, and he started meticulously and patiently winning her back. When they got back together, I just couldn't believe it! At that point, I knew there was never any type of situation that was a complete deal breaker. You can get your lover back into your life, even if you think you did the worst thing ever. Couples reunite everyday no matter what the circumstances were.
To me, love is the most important thing we have in our lives. It's more important than money, homes, cars, or material possessions. Love heals everything!
Sometimes, it can get a bit confusing on what to do in a break up. Our brain is fuzzy, and it's hard to come to some decisions.
1. Get out a piece of paper and on one side write 'pros', and on the other side write 'cons'.
2. List on the 'pros' side everything that was great about the relationship, and about the person you were in the relationship with.
3. List on the 'cons' side, everything that was horrible about it, and that you didn't care for with your lover.
4. Do something calming, or relaxing, such as take a bath, or just close your eyes for 5 minutes and focus on your breathing.
5. After you have gotten yourself a bit calmer, begin to evaluate both sides of the paper.
These simple steps can begin to get us clear on what we want in life, and which direction to go. Maybe we look at it, and we see that this is not the person we are wanting. This simple process helps the pain of break up go away quickly, because we get more clear about what we are wanting. When we get rid of indecision, alot of pain can go away.
Or, maybe we decide this is something really worth fighting for. Maybe this person is worth the trouble, or worth the effort. Just keep in mind that there are no impossible situations. You CAN get your ex back. But, the first step is that you must believe, and make the definitive decision that she/he is worth fighting for. Once you've made that decision, then, you start taking steps to change your relationship. This too can help the pain go away, because we are in action now.
