Here is a list of tips you should remember:

Tip 1. Do not go near a strange dog.

Although some dogs may look and appear cute and cuddly you should not approach a strange dog. This may cause the dog to feel scared and defend him or her self as defense.

Tip 2. Petting a strange dog is a no no.

Allowing a dog to smell you first is important, but as a rule of thumb, never just pet a dog that you are not formilliar with.

Tip 3. Running and turning your back to a dog is not suggested.

When you run, it triggers a dog to act and chase you, this is what they learn at a young age and continues as they become older.

Tip 4. Try not to bother a dog if possible.

Make sure not to bother dogs when they are a sleep, eating, or chewing on there favorite toy, bone, etc. They may be frightened or feel possessive and protect what they think you are trying to take.
