Is it getting harder and harder to pay your bills?
Are you behind on your mortgage? Your credit cards? Your car payment? Just about everything?
Worse yet, has your bank told you that you're facing foreclosure?
Believe me, I know how you feel. Your home is sacred. For most of us, it's the most important material possession we have.
But more than that, our home is our refuge from the world. It's where our kids play. It's where they put their heads down at night.
In many ways, our home defines us. Our home means safety. And to have someone threaten to take it all away...well, that's probably one of the worst feelings anyone should ever have to experience.
It's degrading. It's a slap in the face. And worst of all, it's not even our fault, is it?
No one should ever lose their home because a bunch of politicians in Washington, or fat-cat bankers in who knows where, screwed up the economy. It just shouldn't happen. Ever.
Thankfully, there are ways to avoid foreclosure and save your home. In fact, the worse off you are financially, the more eager your bank may be to work with you.
It sounds crazy, and probably like the exact opposite of what it was like to get your mortgage in the first place. But more often than not, in today's economy, it's true.
It's time to turn the tables on the overpaid crooks in the boardrooms masquerading as legitimate businessmen.
So let's get started.
Saving Your Home from Foreclosure Through Loan Modification
Here's the way it works...
Banks are desperate right now. Foreclosures are just killing them. Look at companies like Washington Mutual -- a strong company that had been around for 100 years until this crisis hit. They held my mortgage. Now they're out of business.
I won't go into all the particulars of why foreclosures are so costly to the banks. That would require an entire article in itself.
But let's just say that they'd much rather make less profit from you now by modifying the terms of your loan and keeping you in the "good loan pile," rather than by foreclosing and putting you in the "bad loan pile."
Modifying your mortgage is exactly what it sounds like -- you modify, or change, your existing loan agreement.
THIS IS NOT REFINANCING. Refinancing is a band aid. This is full-on open heart surgery to fix your mortgage once and for all, for the LIFE of your mortgage, and keep you in your home.
Banks are Desperate -- Not Stupid
You need to be careful about taking the wrong approach when going after a loan modification. For one thing, the banks are desperate, yes. But that doesn't mean they're stupid.
They'd much rather string you along than give you the best deal (does that surprise you at all?). So working with someone who knows the ins and outs, and who negotiates with the banks every day, can be a HUGE help.
About 30 million homeowners are actually good candidates for loan modification, but many people -- maybe you -- don't know it.
What follows are some resources to help you figure out if this can be a strategy that will work for you. I hope you check them out. You deserve your home. No one should ever be able take it away from you.
This strategy may be the one thing that truly save you.
Let me know how you do.
Good luck and God bless!
