Work on reducing your cholesterol level if it is high. Remember that your cholesterol level is not just about one number, but about your HDL and LDL levels as well. Make sure that all of those are in line to give yourself the best chance at a healthy heart.
Finally, focus on eating 5 to 6 small meals a day rather than 2 to 3 larger meals. This allows your body to keep a consistent blood sugar level so that you are never starving and prone to overeating.
