A few years ago you would have had to hire a private investigator to obtain that kind of information... but these days it can be done from your comfort of your own home, on your computer. Anyway, as reversing phone numbers is in high demand these days, I thought I'd draft up a step by step article on how to do it effectively.

Step 1

Find yourself a "reverse cell phone" lookup website. There are quite a few of these websites out there. They all do the same thing, pretty much. The only difference between them is the ease of use and the price. Some do charge over $100 unfortunately. And while $100 is worth obtaining the name and address of a phone owner, you can find a lookup website that charges much less. You should never pay over $50 to access a lookup website.

Step 2

Once you've found a suitable website, then you'll need to register your details. The reason they ask you to register is so they can keep spammers out. You'll also have to pay the small fee upon registration. Once you've registered an account and you've paid your small fee - then you're ready to rock.

Step 3

Okay, so you now have access to a reverse lookup website - great. Now it's straight forward from here. But depending on what site you joined, you should have access to a search box. In that search box, you'll need to type in a cell phone number that you want to reverse. Once you've entered a number and hit search, you'll instantly be provided with a report that contains the full name and address (and sometimes more, depending on what website you joined) of the cell owner.
