Someone is always left heartbroken after the breakup. The most important part before you take the road to recovery after a break up, is understanding your feelings. You feel the pain in your heart; you love them at one point of time and hate them at other. Never mind; this is the most common feelings after any break up.
In fact when one of our near or dear dies, you feel the pain. A break up is equally painful but there is a difference. It is said that it is easier to recover from the pains caused due to spouse's death the getting over a break up with fiancée or fiancé. Because in the first instance you get the support from society but for the later there is none. One has to open his mind and walk on the brighter side. Let go of everything that was left and be whole again. Just sit down and write a letter to your ex let it be long or longer than you have written ever. Do not hesitate to write what comes in your mind. If you wish you could call them their names, call them. Tell them how you loved, why you loved and let them know how they have hurt causing this break up. Do not think this is ridiculous, after all this is just a ritual; no one is going to read this letter. Lit a candle when you finish writing your letter; then hold it over the flame and burn it. So the ritual for your road to recovery is over.
Next, fix a date, time and place to swap the items that you and your ex have from each other. Obviously, both of you must want your items back. Smile and show no regrets about the situation. Things that cannot be exchanged should be thrown or kept out of site. Never keep an item like watch or alike that reminds you every time of your ex. Pay the money if you owe or take back the money if it is due and close the chapter.
Finally, when you have taken all the steps stated above, now decide not have any sort of link with your ex for next thirty days. It will really be painful but you need to start. There should not be any phone call, any mail or text messaging during this time. Divert your mind into doing things that are beneficial to you, be very busy. This will help you to separate and offer space to think and go ahead independently getting over the break up.
