How to Raise a Non-Angry Child - Identifying the Causes of His Anger

Sometimes we are so happy that our child can identify what he is feeling that we forget that there is something more important than this: which are the causes of his feelings? Sometimes, identifying the causes of their anger may be something really difficult for our children - sometimes this is difficult for adults as well. This is happening because children do not connect their emotional reactions with what is going on around them at a certain moment.

When we see that our child is angry we should always ask him what happened, in order to make him speak about his emotions and teach him how to make the right connections in order to find the real causes of his anger. There are many causes which may have caused his anger, and some of them are: her self-esteem has been hurt by someone or by something - children usually become really angry when someone attacks their self-esteem - like if someone calls them idiot or stupid, they can get really angry; they can also become angry when they fail at something - like if they fail a contest at school.

Children get angry is they are physically attacked - like if they are hit, or pushed by an adult or by other children. They get angry if they do not get want they want - we have all seen children who scream in a supermarket because their parents did not bought them what they wanted. They also get angry when some of their principals have been violated - like if they discover that their parents told them a lie, or if someone cheated on a game - for example, all the children get angry when they find out that Santa Clause does nit exist and that their parents have lied to them.

There can be a lot of causes, and the best we can do is to ask our child about the causes of his anger in order to be able to help him!
