If you enjoying checking out the "top 10" statistics in Travian you'll probably notice that some of the biggest powerhouse players steal over 100,000,000 resources each week. How do they do this?

To start, let's tap into the mentality of top raiders. Most of them are Teuton, which means they have fast moving cheap units and carry a lot of resources for each raid they do. Many of them are on the top raiders' list throughout the entire game, which means they are consistently finding players to steal from each week. Top raiders typically have top attacking scores too.

Keeping these observations in mind, a formula emerges:

Teuton + Mace Men + High Attack Scores = Vast armies built using other players' resources.

The only resource you cannot get enough of in Travian is time. But if you leverage other players' resources by raiding the many players around you with the few troops you have, eventually you will have more troops than there are farms. At this point you want to travel farther to raid more players. One thousand mace men as a teuton is nothing; if you send 200 attacks of 5 troops each you will collect a profit of resources as long as you pick on players who are smaller than you.

When sending a short number of troops aim to hit villages with 25 - 75 population. They're least likely to have troops and few crannies to protect them. You'll also wait to raid these players at night.
