Many people believe that cigarettes relax them when they're tense. 2. Concentration

Long night of work ahead of you? Pick up a pack of smokes and you'll be free to work until all hours of the night, right? Wrong! Just as before, the only thing that the cigarettes are doing is relieving the problems that they created for you. When you smoke, you feel like you're more concentrated, but that's only because you aren't thinking about that cigarette any more!

Notice how the only time that you think about smoking is when you don't have a cigarette? That's because smokers have trained themselves to believe that cigarettes somehow serve some magic purpose, and that they can't live without them. This simply is not true!
