How to Promote Websites Through Forums

The basis of it is sharing responses and questions between the members of the forum. Some forums have millions of members while some have less than 1000. Either way it goes, a forum gets a lot of views daily and it is full of people looking for the next new thing. With that being said, if you have your own website that you are trying to promote, you can do this by posting about it on a forum.

The best way to get this done is find a forum that follows your websites niche. If you are trying to promote a website about cars, go to a forum for car lovers. You can post a new topic or even comment on one that is already on there. Someone is sure to view the site and maybe even join it. This is the easiest and free way to promote a website, as most forums are free. Do not spam forum posts though with your website, this can make the administrators delete your account. You will be seen as harassing the members of the forum and non compliant to the rules of the forum. Yes, forums have rules about the way things are promoted.

Before you just post a link up there, be respectful about how you go about invading the regular forum members area. When you are posting a new thread or a comment promoting your site, make sure you tell them what the site is about, the features it may have that might spark their interests, and how the site operates and works. You want to basically sell your site in a polite and respectful way. There are people on the site that take the forum very serious, as trivial as this may seem, respect the feelings of others. You might decrease traffic to your site before your increase it. A great idea would be to browse the forum and blend in with the members first. You can do this by becoming active and posting comments and threads about whatever they are talking about at the moment. This may seem fake but if you are interested in getting some promotion, why not make some close friends that could help you promote it even further? You have to look at the big picture here on forums, don't be small minded.

When you finally start promoting your site on the forum, if you went about it the right way, you will see people flocking to your site like crazy and you will have just made a great investment in your websites future.
