Most weddings can be classified as romantic but you can take some steps make sure yours in remembered as one of the most romantic weddings your guests have ever attended. In this day and age what is considered romantic is going to differ from person to person. You need to make sure that your wedding expresses you and your spouses views of what is romantic.
Your imagination is going to be your best asset in planning a romantic wedding. Work with your senses to get an idea of what makes you feel romantic. What colors, pictures and decor work best. Often times the idea of romance is not something you can put into words. It can simply be inspired by the smell of roses or the feel of satin on your skin.
When you begin to think about your reception try make your ideas of romance as concrete as you can. These ideas will be the foundation of your romantic wedding. Write them down so that you will be able to pass them along to others involved in your wedding so that if troubles come up they can help you. Do not forget that romance is about risk taking and passion. True romance knows little restraint.
The stage for romance will be set by your wedding invitations. Do not be afraid to venture from the classical ideas of romantic invitations with their simplistic, classical white paper and black script. Very popular today are 3D designs and non-traditional materials. Bold colors can have more impact and enhance your invitations. Keep the embellishments subtle though. Stick to a singular stenciled piece of artwork or embossment. The wording is vital to setting a romantic tone. Keep it magical and include a romantic quote. There is a variety of calligraphy to choose from so be sure to try several before making you final choice.
You setting is a big factor in what will make you wedding romantic. If you want to go outdoors pick a place that is full of color and life such as a park or garden. For a less traditional setting also look into vineyards, groves or a mountain side. The beach is still and will always be one of the most romantic locales to hold a wedding. You can also choose a location that will allow you to have your wedding and reception in the same place which will keep the romantic them continues and possibly save money.
