Most things really worth doing require more than one step to accomplish. Projects which might be of any level of complexity, take time, preparation and staying with it through numerous stages over extended time periods. This is universally true and applies when choosing to mine your network for riches.. To mine your network for riches isn't a one step project so here's the way to reach that goal in 5 simple steps.
Step 1. Write down every person you can think of that you know reasonably well. This will be important because just by doing so, you could uncover people that you know well but haven't spoken to in a long time. Should you skip or ignore this step, you will be greatly minimizing some potential opportunities.
Step 2. Write down what each person in your network does for a living and or what is most interesting to you about that person. This is a really very important step that will need your full attention and concentration. You have to do it in this way:
- Write down their name along with their occupation or write down their name and why you find them to be interesting.
- Don't forget to also write down what you know that they are passionate about and what they may need to help them in their career/business.
The reason why you'll need this is that you may be able to provide them with unexpected assistance which will result in some form of reciprocity.
Step 3. Using your wildest imagination without boundaries, create possible outcomes or situations from your relationships. The principal reason why, is because you want to discover some previously inconsiderable possibilities and expand your visionary capabilities. Another essential reason would be to get yourself moving positively in the right direction.
Step 4. Separate ridiculous ideas from blatantly realistic ones. To explain and elaborate on that a little; Sometimes a ridiculous concept actually becomes solid reality. Sometimes the most realistic ideas never work when put into action. You must use your judgment to discern which are absolutely ridiculous and which is blatantly realistic..
Step 5. Write out a detailed plan of approach and execution for your ideas and make them goals. A further suggestion is to take real action and not give up on what you believe can really happen.
At the conclusion, if you have stuck with the above mentioned tips all the way, you should have succeeded and now can sit back and enjoy the rewards of that success. Pat yourself on the back, be a little proud of yourself. You set out to attain your main goal and you just succeeded! You "Climbed the Mountain"! Now enjoy the view from the top!
