How to Maximise Your PLR EBooks Resale Value

When obtaining ebooks with PLR resell rights, there are a number of tips and tricks that will help you to increase your ebooks resale value.

This is especially true if you have a copy of an ebook that is being widely distributed on the internet, as many people are also competing to sell it.

Depending on what you think the eBooks resale value would be "as is", you could just make one or two tweaks, to make it a bit more original, or you could totally overhaul the product, and market it as an entirely new product.

There is a number of things you can do:

Edit, or re-write the sales page: If there are hundreds of people all advertising the same ebook with the same sales page, it will be difficult to rank highly in the search engines. However, you can use this to your advantage, as most sales pages that accompany PLR content are not keyword optimised, so you can get ahead of the competition by re-writing the content to include some well placed keywords.

Edit the content - if you add, edit and re-write some of the content, then you can claim authorship of the ebook. Some PLR packages stipulate the percentage you would need to change to claim authorship, it is usually around 20%. In any case, it is always advisable to read through the ebook and check for any spelling errors or typos. Many PLR ebooks are written by non-native English speakers, so sometimes certain re-phrasing needs to be done in order to make it read more naturally.

Promote well placed, relevant products, and include a link back to your website: When embarking on an eBooks resale business, many people focus solely on the money they will earn from the "face value" selling price of the eBook. This is actually the least important part, especially when selling eBooks that only cost a few dollars! If your eBook becomes widely distributed and read, then it is possible to make far more money in the long run from affiliate offers that you include in the eBook. You should always include a link back to your website, to benefit from the extra traffic that this will bring.

Make the ebook "brandable": By making your eBook brandable, you are giving people an extra incentive to resell or pass it on to others. You would still leave some of the links in the eBook as yours, for example, your website link, and maybe one or two affiliate offers. The rest of the links you would make re-brandable, so that the person selling it can also benefit from some of the affiliate links, or a link back to their website. The software can be bought cheaply, and there are many branding products available.

Have new graphics created - having new graphics created will completely change the look of the ebook, and you could even change the title to make it more "search engine friendly". This way the eBook will be regarded as a totally new product.
