So you've written, proofread and perfected your article. Now you're ready to market it. Below I've compiled some hints for getting your article published online.
EzineArticles.com
EzineArticles.com is an article depository where you can open a free account. Check out their editorial guidelines and start putting your articles on the site. One cool thing about this site is that articles that are published on this site meet the search engine requirements for content...so if you're published on EzineArticles.com, you will soon be picked up by the search engines. When this happens, other websites with lots of traffic will pick up your article and you are on your way!
Websites with Heavy Traffic
Go to Alexa.com and search for sites with heavy traffic that target the same market as you. Alexa.com ranks sites based on their traffic...the lower the ranking, the more traffic the site receives. Many of these site owners are happy to put good articles on their sites...after all, it takes time to write articles and everyone wants more free time. Some of the owners will add your article to their site, some will put a link to your article on their site, some will use your article in their ezine. Doesn't matter which they do, you get traffic. Just be sure that they will not change your content and that they leave your resource box intact.
Ezine Directories
The publishers of ezines are always looking for good articles to include in their ezines. You can subscribe to a directory like Directory of Ezines to find ezines that target your market. Again, any GOOD articles that ezine publishers don't have to write for their ezine means more free time for them. You get your article published in an ezine with a huge list of subscribers and you get access to those subscribers through your resource box!
Websites with Large Lists of Subscribers
You can use Alexa.com to find websites with lots of traffic, then go to their pages and look for an ezine opt-in form. If there is one, chances are they have a large subscriber list. Contact the website owner and ask them if they'd like to use your articles in their ezine. We all know that they'd rather have free time than write more articles.
Follow these guidelines and you'll be getting free traffic to your website. Well, almost free...you did have to put in some time to write the articles.
