Article marketing has been around for some years now and is a free method of marketing and promoting your website to the masses. It entails writing information on a given topic or subject with links put into that information which the reader can click on in order to reach your own website. Hopefully of course an eventual sale will be gained. Research is necessary for this method of marketing in order to write informative articles which are such that prompt the reader to want more. This method indeed needs to be done correctly in order to gain success. Here we can take an inexhaustive look at what this type of marketing entails together with it's correct procedures.
It is safe I believe to skip forward to the actual marketing of your article correctly as the title is simply that. This is not about the actual writing of an article itself as this warrants a completely separate article in it's own right if you see what I mean.
You have your article. It has been researched, written and accepted by the directory in question. But you want it in more than one place don't you. You want that article in as many different places on the internet as you can possibly manage. What can you do from here?
One method to market your new article is of course to manually submit it to other article directories by copy and paste method. Though a little laborious, this can be done especially if you're wanting to only submit to a handful of directories. You could for example submit to three other directories by copying and pasting the information itself, and do about ten articles per hour, depending on your own speed of course.
You can also use article submitter sites to do the job for you, though they will charge you for the service anything from £20 to £70 or maybe more. With this method, there is a little work for you to do but the submitter does the bulk of the work for you. Always bear in mind that when you submit to lots of directories there may be the danger of content duplication which search engines certainly are not fond of so please be aware of this.
Another method to market your articles is to put your articles on your own website, maybe as a news feature or just factual information for your visitors. Make sure the article is keyword rich to attract suitable visitors who are already interested in the wares you have on offer.
There is of course the good old blog that you can do which in essence is your own, sort of mini website. You can combine your articles into a blog whilst offering solutions or products to customers. There are now lots of tools which come with your blog so you can really personalise it and make it extremely interesting and readable. And remember, you can continually update your blog with your recent articles thereby keeping it relevant and rich, after all, content is king is it not.
You can even go offline a little if you fancy, by printing off some of your articles and distributing them to current and potential customers, while there is nothing stopping you placing your article in a local newspaper. Yes, there maybe a cost attached to this but nevertheless, it is worth a try particularly as there are still folk out there who will prefer to have a piece of paper with information on it in their hand rather than on a screen. You will, I hope have contact information on your article before handing them out to prospective customers.
Why not even try your hand at putting a few of your best articles together and putting them into an eBook for distribution with of course links back to your website. Lots of people love eBooks and will even pay a small price for them to get that information they want. Setting this up is fairly easy to do.
What about visiting other people's blogs and asking them if you can contribute to their blog with your own post and yes, of course your link to your website will be included by you won't it. Make sure the blog your posting to is relevant to your website though because if not, you ain't gonna benefit. What does the owner of the blog get out of this? Added fresh content of course and for him or her it's free content. So you will both benefit from this method.
There are other ways of marketing your articles which I am sure you will come across in your endeavours. Your activity is to make money and so it stands to reason that the more active you are in all that you do, the more money you should make.
