Expert Author Rizwana Mundewadi

Decorating our homes is on the centre most when we purchase a new home or refurbish it. Plenty of artifacts and paintings are available for decorating our home. Each personalized form of works according to our tastes and budgets are available in every gift and accessories shops. However we would like to purchase things every individual longs for a personalized home, as our home represents our personality and tastes. A very easy way to decorate our walls is by making a personalized collage and displaying on our walls.

The first step is to collect all our photographs and some greeting cards that have attractive colours. Glue to hold them together and scissors to give them the required shape would be handy in creating our personalized wall art. Arranging selected happy photos and cards in a pleasant colour scheme and attractive form guides the eye from one picture to another and creates an aesthetic response in the viewer. Sticking together all the collected pictures on a mount board or cardboard will give the art a support to hold it. Pierce hole on the board to attach string or cord for hanging it. Always remember to have a strong cord depending upon the size and weight of your art collage.

Thus we can see it is very easy to make a personalized collage and any one of any age group can make a good art piece that will be cherished and appreciated by all. The advantage of making a good collage is it gives immense satisfaction to the one who makes it and it may also be a joint venture with all the family members contributing their share. This collage will not only be the centre of attraction for our living room or bedroom but also make us remember the happy memories for the rest of our lives. Each moment captured in the photograph can be relived as we say 'a picture can express more than a thousand words'.
