He should feel free and not shackled to you. Let him spend time with his buddies without feeling guilty. In the same manner you too should have a life outside this relationship.
Act as if you are his girlfriend
You will have grown quite close by now. Show that he is the man in your life and he will begin to think on the same lines. It is only a matter of time before you become a couple.
