As we all know getting out of the house on time can be a struggle, especially if you have children ages 3-12. The aim of this article is to leave you with some tips to try that may help your mornings become a bit less stressful.
1) Put Your Clock Ahead By 10-15 Minutes
Something psychological happens with this technique for some odd reason. Just by setting your clock 10-15 minutes earlier than it is tricks your mind into believe that you had extra time to "sleep" in than you really did. Thus your mind will not be so resistant about getting up, when the reality is you are actually getting up 15 minutes earlier.
2) Take A Shower the Night Before
A lot of people feel as though they "just can't get up" until they had a morning shower. One you may not realize in that you can simply put some cool water on you face to help wake you up. I would highly recommend that there are too many things to worry about in the morning that it just makes more sense to have all showers and baths done the night before.
3) Pick a Central Location For Important Things
There is really no need to start searching for homework, backpacks, brief cases, coats, hats, gloves, and your car keys. Make sure that the night before you put all the important things in a central location. This will make it so you have to waste less time on the things you know you need every single day because they will all be put in a predictable location.
Those are a few tips to get you thinking about your morning time routine, and what you can be doing differently to help morning time run more smoothly.
