I tried everything to get my online business off the ground. I tried making money as an affiliate, I tried writing my own ebooks, I even managed to set up a few websites (which is pretty amazing considering I suck with computers) but I had no idea how to get people to find my products, never mind buy them.

When I started learning online marketing I heard lots about Google AdWords and other PPC (pay per click) advertising methods, but with so many other internet marketers I quickly found myself way out of my league and was spending way too much money and not seeing any results.

Next I heard great things about opt-in emails. I then found out I needed my own website and I still needed to try and drive traffic there to build my own opt-in list. That brought me right back to square one. Driving Traffic.

I was told you could buy or rent someone else's opt-in list, but this was expensive and I never really knew what I was getting from them.

None of these really worked for me among other expensive methods. Then I finally came across some online tutorials that introduced me to writing articles online. Also called ezines (free service). I couldn't write, I could barely read (I could read, I just hated doing it!) how was I going to start writing articles.

Because I wasn't a strong writer, I found out quickly that was actually my strength. People don't want to read these long boring articles; they want to read something they can understand from somebody they can relate to. If you haven't noticed yet my grammar sucks and I am probably doing everything writers tell you not to do, but you are reading this, aren't you?.

The great thing is at the end of each of my articles I get to put in my link to my website which helps drive traffic there. The website link attached to this article is actually where I learned to write articles like these.

Writing this article helped me remember an important law in anything I do. If you add more value to others then you will get back more of what you are looking for. I hope my articles provide good info to my readers.
