Do you have a special occasion coming up? Is it going to be your wedding day in a few weeks time? Or do you just want to slim down to fit into your favorite clothing? Well regardless of your reason for wanting to lose weight in a week, you are at the right place. Too many times I see people falling for the wrong information and get duped into spending their hard earn cash on weight loss product that don't work. The honest truth is, you can lose weight and get your desired body if you have the right procedure to follow. Below are some tips that I personally have used to slim down so I 'know' they work.

How To Lose Weight In A Week

If you haven't weighed yourself as yet, now is a good time to do it. What sense does it make for you to start your weight loss goal if you have no idea of your current weight? Once you are done, make note of your body weight for future reference.

In order to lose weight in a week, you will need to incorporate a combination of dieting and proper exercises. This is the only proven way for you to slim down so fast. Below I elaborate on some of the things you can do to help you achieve your goal.

Dieting

This does not mean that you are going to starve yourself. What it means, is that you should consume the right type of foods (healthy foods) in the right proportion. The overall aim of losing weight is to burn more calories than you intake. So therefore, you will have to eat lesser foods than you are accustom to.

- Check you refrigerator- If you have unhealthy food in your refrigerator, now is a good time to throw them out. I know from personal experience that it can be very tempting to take a munch every now and then. So throw out the fatty foods and processed foods that will do you more harm than good. Try to go for more 'fresh' fruits and vegetables and whole nuts. A super tip to losing weight in a week is to replace all your white flour products with whole wheat alternatives and reduce your sugar intake. The reason for this is because too much sugar will increase your blood sugar level, make you sluggish and slow down the fat burning process.

Exercising

The fact that you want to lose weight in a week means that you are going to have to push yourself. Now I don't mean that you are going to kill yourself but you will need to put in some hard work. For starters, get up every morning and workout. Don't know what to do? Here is a plan below:

1. Walk or jog for 10 minutes.

2. Stretch properly to ensure that your muscles do not get sore.

3. Walk or jog for another 25- 30 minutes

4. Drink some water to keep you hydrated

5. Do some abdominal exercises to tone your mid section

6. Do some cool down exercises

You could always tune in to the fitness channel or get your favorite workout videos to follow. Just make sure you have a program that works and you stick to it. Losing weight does not have to be hard, you just need to stay motivated and put in the work that is required.
