Cheap seized car auctions are ideal places to look out for if you want to buy a quality vehicle at affordable prices. The vehicles sold at these auctions are repossessed by banks, and the law enforcement and other government agencies. These are seized from individuals or syndicates either for tax evasion, defaulting on loan repayment or involvement in crimes.

It is quite likely for anyone to find vehicles in good condition at cheap seized car auctions. Many of them are up for grabs at up to 90% off their original retail prices. Even for a second hand car, you can hardly find it that cheap. Other reasons for going to such auctions to find a vehicle are the chance of finding an off-the-road rare car model and a huge selection for your picking. It is free to attend the functions and sometimes, you may not need to pay for the vehicle registration as well.

While it sounds good, the real challenge is in finding such cheap seized car auctions. Even though there are dozens of auctions taking place simultaneously across the country, many people do not know how to find them and heavily rely on used vehicle dealers and private resellers. As a result, they end up having to fork out way more than what they pay if they had used a repossessed auto auction.

But you cannot blame the folks since such auctions are hardly publicized. You may be able to find a small advertisement hidden in an obscure section of the classified ads. The reason is because, many of them are organized by small time auction companies which do not have a big budget for advertising considering they are getting razor thin profits from the vehicle sales.

One common frustration for potential buyers is that some of these could be happening in states that are hundreds of miles away from them. It can be a tiring experience having to drive for many hours before you can reach them. And what's worse is that you may not even find your choice vehicle. People can easily end up feeling disillusioned and give up on finding the auctions at all.

Large scale government auctions receive a great deal of publicity and media coverage in major newspapers. But common sense tells you that this also means a lot of people would enter their bids and it is quite unlikely that you can still drive one home at low price. The golden rule is, the lesser advertisement, the better it is for you.

In other words, you can either set aside an afternoon looking through the local newspapers, car magazines or call up the local authorities to find out whether there are places taking place near your home. Alternatively, you can save time and money by buying a one-time membership (less than $39.99) that provides you with unlimited access rights to online auction database featuring the schedules and venue of the latest repossessed auto auctions and vehicle listings.
