Pond filters are essential for creating clean and healthy water in your backyard pond. There are many different models to choose from, but this article is dedicated to the Laguna Pressure-Flo pond filter. This all-in-one Laguna filter provides mechanical and biological filtration as well as UV sterilization.

With all those filtration and cleaning capabilities, you might think this Laguna pond filter would be difficult to install, clean and maintain. However, one of its perks is that installation can be done in just a few minutes, and cleaning and maintenance is just as simple. Read the instruction below for your step-by-step guide on how to install the Laguna Pressure-Flo pond filter:

  • Step 1: Read the instruction manual to make sure you understand what all the individual parts are and how you're going to be putting them together.
  • Step 2: Lay out all the individual filter pieces.
  • Step 3: Install the lid O-ring around the top of the base of the filter. It should fit snugly and almost snap into place.
  • Step 4: Attach the top part of the filter and close the lid securely using the lid clamp. Attach the Click-Fit couplings and hosing. You should do this by connecting the hoses to the Click-Fit couplings and securing them with a stainless steel hose clamp.
  • Step 5: Choose the placement for your Laguna pond filter. Make sure you put it on a firm and level base close to your pond. It needs to be safe from flooding and have adequate ventilation. You also need to have full access to the lid for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
  • Step 6: Perform a water test before starting the filter to get a reading on pH levels. You'll want to perform another test 2-3 days later to make sure your Laguna pond filter is functioning properly.

Important note for Step 5: You can disguise your Laguna pond filter by placing plants and other pond foliage around it or you can partially bury it to keep the area looking as natural as possible.

The Laguna Pressure-Flo pond filter is designed to keep your pond water clean and your pond life healthy. If you decide to purchase this Laguna filter, be sure to follow the instructions above to make installation as quick and easy as possible.
