A money making message board can come in various types. Some are just filled with spam-like posts, people plastering their own self-serving ads all over the place; these, of course, have low value.

The general rule is that the more regulated a message board is, by the owner, the higher the quality it tends to be.

For example, some of these message boards do not allow new members to post anything seeking a joint venture until they have already made a certain number of posts showing they have contributed something of value to the board.

Other money making message boards are so exclusive that you need to pay a fee to access them because they contain training material and secrets that can help people generate a lot of profits.

Also, there are many types of boards in a broad range of industries. Personally, because I am an Internet marketer, I visit and also run one of these boards but I stick to the ones relevant to my industry.

Other people who are less entrepreneurial are looking for these boards that offer work at home job opportunities (as opposed to home based business opportunities.)

It all depends what you're looking for. Just remember the rule of thumb that the more rules in place for posting on these boards, the higher value and better quality they are. When a board is well run it becomes a very active valuable forum where fantastic ideas are exchanged and friendships are made and mentors are discovered.

Whatever you do, just make sure you add value yourself to the board and people will reciprocate.
